Welcome! I began teaching at Herscher High School in August 2007. It has been my pleasure to teach at this school, be a part of this fantastic district, and live in this wonderful community for the last 16 years. As I am in my 17th year here at HHS I'm truly excited to see just how much better we can get! I have the honor of teaching the students in our district the following mathematics courses: Algebra 1 Algebra 1 Double Block - with supported Instruction Contemporary Math - KCC Dual Credit Analytic Geometry Calculus - KCC Dual Credit Class I also have the privilege of being a part of the following groups: Varsity Scholastic Bowl Team (Coach) Math Team (Coach) Peer-Tutoring (Co-Coordinator) Superfans (Co-Coordinator) I am also an adjunct professor at Kankakee Community College, which affords me the ability to see the connections between high school and college math courses. I feel fortunate to be able to truly know the requirements for my graduating seniors as they transition to college. Then not only do I teach, but I'm also active in the national mathematics educator community and am a mathematical consultant for Almy Educational Consulting. Through this opportunity I have worked on standards alignment for various courses, supported teachers in learning how to use digital technology in the mathematics classroom, and am currently helping develop curriculums. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call or e-mail me at any time! I have the annoying habit of checking e-mail frequently so I promise I will get back to you as soon as possible if you e-mail me.
